"This acrylic painting was created from wonderful memories of my
childhood going fishing with my dad. I have lived in Arizona for the
past 18 years, but grew up in Grand Rapids and have spent many an hour
in a small light blue aluminum boat on the lakes of Michigan. I started
this painting at the beginning of the year wanting to capture a unique
perspective of my childhood experience. At the beginning of February dad
was diagnosed with cancer, so it seemed appropriate to dedicate this
piece to him. Thanks, dad!"
