Last month I had the pleasure of hanging Root Concepts art and stickers at Granite Mountain Brewing in downtown Prescott, AZ.
On display, an assortment of my work on a variety of media including giclee canvas prints, dye sublimation on aluminum and glass, and of course, stickers. It was great to be able to present some new works from the Doodlesphere, some mandalas, paintings and photography, as well as some old favorites like the Smuggler and Sun, Moon, Pine Tree.
It all began with the opening on August 28th for the monthly 4th Friday Art Walk. Prescott natives and out of town visitors alike were drawn in by a few supporters (my daughter included) actively promoting and encouraging passers by to come in and see the show. Parker Smith and company added to the ambiance with a great set of jazzy, old-time tunes which kept the crowd growing and the evening flowing. The energy was as fantastic as the many tasty micro brew flavors on tap at GMB!
I am very grateful to have received a lot of genuine compliments from well wishers, a few of whom took some art home with them to hang on their own walls or give as gifts. Very cool! There is nothing I love more than sharing my art and connecting with people who are inspired by what I do, thank you to everyone who came out to support the show. Special thanks to the fine folks at Granite Mountain Brewing for giving me the opportunity, and to coordinator Dani Fisher for all the help. It was a success!
